Bullock carts are an integral part of life in Bagan.

Monks on pilgrimage await for the setting sun on the temple plaza.


Going on pilgrimages is a common ‘vacation’ for regular folks as well.

You can still climb on top of some temples.


There are no safety railings and it gets a bit precarious in certain locations.

The temple bazaar is alive with hawkers in the early morning. Roasted peanuts serve as a tasty snack.
